An excellent new book, called "The Mammoth Book of Erotic Women", has just been published by Robinson of London,
which features 75 of the world's best erotic photographers. Included is a 6 page portfolio by Photofrenetic
photographer Mike Crawley, containing 7 new previously unpublished images. The book can be obtained from all good
bookstores in the UK (RRP £9.99) from this week and online from
Amazon.co.uk. The book, edited
by Maxim Jakubowski, will also be available in the USA in 3 weeks time from Caroll & Graf, in
France,
and in Germany (English text). This is the second in the series following the first highly successful
"Mammoth Book of Erotic Photography" published in 2001. The new book contains both colour and black and white images.

The Guild of Erotic Artists is compiling a book of it's members and their work, which is due for publication around November 2004. Each artist will have around 3 double page spreads of space which will detail their biographies, achievements, insights into their work and many examples of their artworks. The artists include painters, sculptors, body casters, and other artists as well as photographers and models. At last the long awaited "France 2003" website from Photofrenetic is up and live! Next comes the more difficult task of choosing the very best images from all 10 photographers in the project and compiling a mock up of the book that we eventually want to publish. The second appearance of Photofrenetic at the Erotica Show in Manchester was a great success. The "team" - The Guild of Erotic Artists - again put on an excellent exhibition in the Art Gallery. We all plan to do it again at the next London Erotica Show at Olympia in November.

At last the long awaited Russian Translation of "Photographing the Nude" has been published in the Russian Union by Omega Press of Moscow in collaboration with the UK publishers David & Charles
. The cover is different from the English language edition but the inside layout is the same except that it is written in Cyrillic!

The book collaboration between Photofrenetic and the versatile and highly talented authoress, poet and model, Rosaleen Young has now come to fruition. The paperback book entitled

22/06/2003 France 2003
France 2003 eventually came to fruition in the first week of June 2003 and was an incredible experience. The project was conceived by a group of 10 international fine art nude photographers and models from Germany, UK, Israel, USA, Canada and Austria and the gathering took place in a large Chateau somewhere in middle France. The group conceived and planned this project by e-mail (many hundreds of e-mails!) and most hadn't met each other until the day we arrived at the castle. The purpose was to create fine art nude photographs and eventually publish a book of the results. The first stage of this is complete - the photographs have been taken - and now comes a period when all the photographers are busily assessing and printing their best images. Some time in the not too distant future a new website, or more likely websites, will be constructed which will show the outcome of our efforts, then comes the more difficult task of choosing the very best images and compiling a mock up of the book that we eventually want to publish. At the moment we are looking for publishers that may be interested in helping us fulfill our dream ......... so if there are any fine art book publishers out there looking for a project with a new angle then please get in touch, we'd be delighted to hear from you!

The first appearance of Photofrenetic at the first provincial opening of Erotica in Manchester was a great success. The "team" - The Guild of Erotic Artists - stole the show and walked away with the trophy and plaque for the best stand in the show. We all plan to do it again at the next London Erotica Show at Olympia in November.

A Chinese Edition of Photographing the Nude has just been published by Jilin Fine Arts Publishing House in collaboration with the UK publishers David & Charles
. The cover is different from the English version but the images inside are the same with Chinese text. Wish I could tell you more but my Chinese is a little rusty!

A new portfolio featuring New York model Kelly Madison Kole has just been posted to the site. Our first shoot with Kelly was in December 2002 while on a whirlwind modelling tour to the UK. We didn't work very long together but seemed to click straight away and she has promised to return during her next tour in February 2003. France 2003 is a project conceived by a group of 10-11 international fine art nude photographers from France, Germany, UK, Israel, USA, Canada and Russia. The gathering of this group will take place in the Spring of 2003 in a large Chateau somewhere in middle France. The purpose is to create fine art nude photographs and eventually publish a book of the results. We are seeking 10 TFP models to join us in this project and would welcome enquiries from any European models interested in obtaining a portfolio of pictures from such a varied and talented group of photographers.

A new Portfolio featuring the charming Rosaleen Young has just been posted. Rosaleen is from North London and is an excellent model. She contacted Photofrenetic in late May 2002. As she was about to embark on a trip to the USA we quickly arranged a shoot in early June . You can see a small selection of the images we created in Rosaleen's Portfolio.

Since Rosaleen's return to the UK we have worked together again on two occassions on some images for a book of Rosaleen's erotic short stories and poems, which will be published sometime during 2003. Watch this space for further updates.

28/05/2001 The A-Z article in Aprils' Practical Photography (X for X-rated) has resulted in huge dividends (Thank you Will!) with a commission from the publishers David and Charles to write and illustrate a photography book with the working title "Photographing the Nude". The book, which is planned to hit the UK, US and European book shops in the Summer/Autumn of 2002, will contain around 200 images and be packed with information on how the images were created and useful hints and tips for the aspiring nude photographer.
